Tuition and Fees:
Registration: Students in the dance program are responsible for a $60.00 registration fee. We are a uniform studio; therefore every registered family will receive one free leotard for class with a paid registration fee. Additional leotards may be purchased.
Tuition: For your convenience, tuition is paid in equal monthly installments due on the first class of each month regardless of calendar days, inclement weather or holiday closings. Tuition is not decreased for 3 week months nor is it increased for 5 week months. Payment is considered late after the 10th of the month and a $25.00 late charge is added to all unpaid accounts. A $20 late charge will be added to all unpaid accounts after the 20th of the month.
Your monthly tuition is based off of the total number of hours your family dances each week. The more hours you dance, the more of a discount you receive. One weekly 45 minute class is $65/month and one weekly hour class is $70/month. Please contact us for the full tuition scale. If a student needs to withdraw for any reason, a written notice will be required.
Costume fees: A 50% deposit for costumes is due with your October tuition and the balance is due with your November tuition. Costume fees are non-refundable.
Preballet and Dance/Tumble: $95 (1 costume, 1 pair of tights)
Ballet/Tap and Ballet/Jazz combo classes: $185 (2 costumes, 2 pairs of tights)
Ballet/Tap/Jazz combo class: $235 (3 costumes, 2 pairs of tights)
Leveled classes: $90 (1 costume, does NOT include tights- must be purchased separately)
Recital: Our year-end themed recital is in May at Louisburg College’s Norris Theater. Our 2023-2024 recital is scheduled for Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th. Performance is part of learning and all Academy dancers must participate. A recital fee will be due with your April tuition. The recital fee is used to rent the auditorium, rent a backdrop, pay staff, and hire a stage manager. Each family will receive two tickets for each show in which your dancer performs, digital downloads of all shows (new for recital 2024) and a souvenir program. Additional tickets can be purchased at a minimal cost as well as recital T-shirts, pictures, and flowers.
Policies
Enrollment: A minimum of five students is needed for a class, and no more than 18 will be admitted into a class. Registration is limited and is confirmed on a first-come, first-serve basis. No student will be added to a class roster without fees paid and registration forms complete. Tuition is paid in 9 equal monthly installments. Please see the section marked Tuition and Fees for more information.
Classes: You are guaranteed 32 classes per season.
Make-Up Classes: Dance classes missed, for whatever reason, can be made up in any similar class within 30 days.
Cancelled classes: If an instructor must miss a class, we will make every attempt to arrange for a substitute. If we have to cancel a class, a make-up class will be offered.
Parent Observation: Parents are allowed in the classroom only on designated days. We will have 2 parent observation weeks this season (October and April). Parents are allowed to watch each class via live-stream on the television in our lobby.
Private lessons must be canceled 24 hours ahead of scheduled time to be eligible for a make-up lesson.
Weather Policy: We will usually follow the Wake County Public School System for any weather related closings. If school is cancelled, we will most likely be closed. If schools release early, we will close at the same time. If there is a delay for the start of school, we will hold our classes as normally scheduled. There will always be a social media post as soon as a decision is announced.
