Sami Lane began her ballet training at age 8 in Cary, NC. Throughout her pre-professional training, she was invited to train at several prestigious ballet programs including American Ballet Theatre, Richmond Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Ballet Institute of Atlanta, and The Rock School for Dance. She began teaching ballet in 2019 while studying Biomedical Humanities at Campbell University, where she graduated with cum laude honors in 2022. After graduation, Sami joined Carolina Dance Theater, Cary's first professional dance company, as a founding member. She performed a featured role in their debut performance, Kaleidoscope. In 2024, she began directing the pre-professional ballet company at Graceful Expressions Dance Company. In this role, she was able to choreograph several new works for the company, including a new version of The Nutcracker, and excerpts from Firebird, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Raymonda, Romeo & Juliet, Les Sylphides, Don Quixote, and more. She is excited to bring her passion for ballet to WFAFA for the 2025-26 school year!
