Alicia Rothman began her dance training in Indianapolis at the age of nine. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in dance from SUNY Buffalo and holds a K-12 teaching certification from East Carolina University. She also holds certifications in ballet, jazz, tap, and acro from Dance Masters of America and Acrobatic Arts. She has twenty years of teaching experience in both private studios and in the Wake County Public Schools. She became co-owner and director at the Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts in the fall of 2019 after having been an instructor at the academy for seventeen years! Alicia believes in the importance of continued education and attends yearly conventions for dance educators such as Dance Life Teacher Conference and Dance Teacher Summit. She loves teaching students of all ages and skill levels.
