Aimee Sellars is a passionate dance educator, choreographer, and entrepreneur dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dancers. She began her dance training at a young age and went on to earn a BFA in Choreography and Performance from UNC Greensboro in 2005. Aimee’s professional dance career took her across North Carolina, performing with jazz and modern companies and training with renowned choreographers. She has also graced stages in Las Vegas, performing at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and Caesars Palace.
After returning to North Carolina, Aimee continued to train, perform, and teach, leaving a lasting impact on the local dance community. In 2012, she founded the dance program at Franklin Academy Charter High School and Middle School, coaching their dance teams and shaping a program that remains successful today. She also travels the country in the role of dance competition assistant director and as a respected dance competition judge, sharing her expertise with dancers nationwide.
In 2013, Aimee became Co-Owner of Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts (WFAFA), where she continues to teach and choreograph for dancers of all ages. Under her leadership, WFAFA has grown into a premier dance studio serving families in Wake Forest, Youngsville, Franklinton, Rolesville, and North Raleigh. She specializes in training young dancers, through engaging, developmentally appropriate programs.
Aimee believes her true calling is sharing her passion for dance through teaching. She fosters a studio environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and technical excellence while ensuring students feel valued and inspired. Through recitals, competitions, and themed experiences, she provides young dancers with opportunities to grow both artistically and personally.
