Laura DellaBadia is a life-long dancer and performer. She is excited to bring her dedication, passion, experience, and knowledge to students at The Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts! 

Since the age of three and dancing in her first performance, Cinderella, she has undergone classical ballet training and still takes dance classes to this day. She has studied at the prestigious Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, Theater School of Dance, and the Peter Pan Players Theatrical Arts Academy. She's also performed with the distinguished Moscow Russian Ballet. She has danced in the Nutcracker yearly, as well as other ballets. She has years of extensive experience in various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, yoga, Pilates, cardio dance, barre, improv, and musical theater.

Additionally, she has years of acting training and theater experience. Some of her favorite roles were Ophelia in Hamlet, Brigitta in The Sound of Music, Eliza Dolittle in Pygmalion, the Baby Rosebud in Alice in Wonderland, and the Beaver in Lady and the Tramp.

Laura believes dance is a beautiful, inspiring, creative, and expressive art form, one that dancers should enjoy doing, even while practicing and working hard at it. As a dance instructor, to foster growth and development, she focuses on teaching technique, skill, flexibility, musicality, artistry, and creativity while also encouraging confidence, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness with positive and thoughtful feedback.

Along with being a dance instructor, she is writer, editor, and a licensed North Carolina attorney. She graduated Campbell Law School after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington magna cum laude with a B.A. in Communication Studies, a B.F.A. in Creative Writing, and the Certificate in Publishing.
