Allison Daniels Gordon is a dynamic dance educator, choreographer, and mentor whose career bridges professional performance, arts education, and community impact. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Allison began her dance journey at age three, inspired by the classical ballet she saw on PBS. Her training spans ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater, with ballet as her foundation.

She trained at The Ailey School on a prestigious merit-based scholarship and has worked professionally across concert, commercial, TV and print media. Her performance credits include collaborations with noted choreographers Talley Beatty, Kelvin Rotardier, Laura Dean and more.

Allison’s choreography has been commissioned by institutions such as Duke University, the North Carolina Museum of Art, and presented at regional and national festivals including the North Carolina Dance Festival and the American Dance Festival. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of America in both jazz and modern, Floor Barre technique, and Progressing Ballet Technique.

As the founder of boobaBOD apparel and creator of M.A.D. laboratory—a supplemental training program for emerging dance artists (coming soon) —Allison is committed to helping dancers see their value, take up space, and access industry pathways early. Her teaching centers joy, discipline, creativity, and representation.

Allison is excited to join the faculty at WFAFA and looks forward to nurturing the next generation of versatile and empowered dancers.
